We provide valuation reports to banks as well as individuals and companies when properties have been offered as security for a loan;
We also carry out valuations of properties on the basis of which
city, municipal and town authorities levy rates under the Local
Government Act 1998;
From time to time we prepare valuations as at date of death on
the deceased estate for purposes of estate duty levy by estate
duty commissioners;
We carry out valuations for balance sheet purposes in
accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards
(IFRS) as adopted by the accountancy profession in Malawi.
We also assess open market and insurable value of plant and
machinery as well as assessment of worth of machinery assets
to the continuing business.

The firm is registered under the Business Names Act as well as with the Office of the Directorate of Public Procurement.
T.G Msonda is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor and Principal Consultant / Partner of the firm. He has been in practice in Malawi since 1982 and holds a degree from the University of East London, is a full member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as well as the Surveyor’s Institute of Malawi.
Mr Msonda has held positions of Committee Member, Land Economy Chapter, Chairman, Secretary and President of Surveyors Institute of Malawi. He is currently a member of the Land Economy Board which registers practicing valuers in Malawi.
As a Consultant in the firm Mr Msonda has carried out major rating valuation projects such as Valuation rolls for cities of Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu as well as Luchenza, Zomba, Liwonde, Mangochi and Balaka rating areas. Under his leadership the firm has carried out valuations for balance sheet purposes in accordance with International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for various large institutions.
Mrs Zara Msonda - Johnson who is a Partner in the firm has a degree with honours in Quantity Surveying from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia and a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in the same country. She is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS).
Zara is responsible for the cost advice aspects of our professional services as relate to valuation for insurance purposes, residual valuations and feasibility studies associated with potential property investment.
Tiyezge Msonda is a Partner in the firm and holds a bachelor’s degree in Property from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) and is a full member of the Surveyors’ Institute of Malawi (SIM).
Tiyezge is responsible for all aspects of Plant, Machinery and Business assets valuation.
Tiyezge who has been with the practice for the past nine years is a highly motivated individual and combines both the technical and professional aspects of the practice on daily basis. He reports to the Principal Consultant.
